The Okinawa region has a unique history and culture, and is surrounded by a mild climate and beautiful sea. Traditionally, Awamori has been the mainstay of the region, but in recent years wine production has also begun! Wine production using Ryukyu Ganebu, a mountain grape native to Okinawa, has begun and is expected to become a new attraction for the region.

Onnason, located in central Okinawa, is known as a resort area with beautiful sea and natural attractions. Recently, a couple who owns an auberge has started cultivating and producing wine from the native Ryukyu Ganebu grape. Be sure to try the meals at the auberge as well.
